About Watchmen of Israel

Watchmen of Israel is a small Natsarim ministry dedicated to studying and teaching Scripture, encouraging obedience to Yahweh, equipping believers, and developing resources that help people walk out their faith in everyday life.

Our long-term vision is much larger than where we are today, and you can read more about it on our vision page. To be completely transparent, Watchmen of Israel is still small. We do not have a large staff, buildings, or a massive budget. Most of what you see here is currently the work of one person: Jonathan Fluck.

Who is Jonathan Fluck? That's me...but that probably doesn't answer the question too well for you, so allow me to introduce myself. I consider myself first and foremost a dedicated student of the Scriptures. After spending much of my life following mainstream Christian teachings, I was introduced to Torah observance in 2020. That began a much deeper examination of Scripture and forced me to ask a simple question: What if Yahweh's Torah is still relevant to His people?

My journey actually began by trying to disprove that idea. I tried to prove that the Sabbath had moved to the first day of the week, that the dietary instructions were no longer applicable, and that Yahweh's appointed times were irrelevant. But time after time, the deeper I studied, the harder those conclusions became to defend from Scripture. Eventually my question changed from, "How can I prove these commandments no longer apply?" to, "What does Scripture actually say?"

My studies led me to believe that obedience to Yahweh's Torah was never the enemy of faith. Yeshua obeyed His Father, the apostles continued walking according to the Scriptures, and the earliest followers of Yeshua did not understand faith in the Messiah as permission to abandon Yahweh's instructions. I do not claim to have every answer, and Watchmen of Israel is not built around the idea that you should simply accept my conclusions. My goal is to present the evidence, open the Scriptures, examine the historical record where it is useful, and encourage people to test everything for themselves.

With over two decades of professional experience as a software engineer, I use the same analytical approach to study Scripture, research difficult questions, and develop practical resources. Today, Watchmen of Israel includes both ministry work and a separate for-profit business, Watchmen Of Israel LLC. The ministry focuses on teaching, study, discipleship, community, and the larger mission of strengthening the Natsarim community. The LLC develops and sells resources such as books, calendars, and other products, helping create sustainable income to support the work rather than making the ministry entirely dependent upon donations.

We're still small, and we're still building, but Watchmen of Israel is no longer simply an idea for something that might exist someday. The work has begun. Our goal is to study faithfully, teach what we can demonstrate, build useful resources, serve people, and continue growing as Yahweh provides the opportunity.
