Why Is It Important To Focus On Spiritual Needs?
The passage from Matthew 18 teaches us that the spiritual condition of a person is far more important than the physical condition. Yeshua teaches us that our spiritual needs need to be a priority. We are to prioritize correct and accurate scriptuarl eachings so that we do not bring an occassion to stumble.
Yeshua's teaching also emphasizes the importance of adhering to scriptural teachings. Anything in our lives that causes us to reject, misunderstand, corrupt, or simply not obey scriptural teachings must be cut out of our lives. Yeshua explains that the corrupted teachings that cause us to stumble may cause us to be rejected from salvation and subject to the Lake of Fire, the Second Death.
